An original vision of Oakley’s founder, the Pit Boss was four years in the making. The technology of this look is just as aggressive as the styling. It matches a stress-resistant O Matter frame with ultra-lightweight titanium plates, forged at searing temperatures and chiseled by Computer Numeric Controlled machinery with a precision of 0.002 inches. That’s just one five-hundredth of an inch, and it gives you an idea of the craftsmanship behind the creation. For high-velocity impact protection, hexalobular bolts are used to secure the plates with authority. The Three-Point Fit maintains comfort all day while holding the lenses in precise optical alignment. Every frame comes with premium Oakley HD Polarized lenses that filter out 99% of glare without the visual haze and optical distortion that comes with ordinary polarized lenses. The back of each lens has the added protection and glare reduction of anti-reflective (AR) coating, and the front is augmented with Iridium coating to further reduce glare while precisely balancing light transmission.
